Yoko Inamoto, SLP, PhD

Dr. Yoko Inamoto is the Vice Dean and Professor at the School of Health Sciences, Fujita Health University, Japan. She is a nationally certified Speech-Language-Hearing Therapist specializing in dysphagia. Dr. Inamoto earned her Bachelor’s degree (BA) in English and American Studies from Nanzan University in 1999, her Master’s degree (MSc) in Health Sciences from Fujita Health University in 2010, and her Doctorate (PhD) in Rehabilitation Medicine from Fujita Health University in 2014.

She currently holds adjunct faculty positions as an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University (USA), and as an Adjunct Lecturer at Shukutoku University and Aichi Gakuin University (both in Aichi, Japan).

Dr. Inamoto plays active leadership roles in professional organizations related to swallowing and communication disorders, including Vice President and Board Member of Governors of the Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation, Board Member of Governors of the Asian Dysphagia Society, and Committee Member of the Dysphagia Research Society.

Her primary clinical and research interests focus on the kinematic analysis of swallowing using multi-slice computed tomography (CT) and the rehabilitation of swallowing dysfunction. Her contributions to the field have been recognized through multiple awards and honors.
