Paul Muhle is a consultant neurologist and associate professor (Privatdozent) at the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Münster, Germany. His clinical and research focus lies in the field of neurogenic dysphagia, especially in the context of neurological intensive care and stroke.

As a member of the research group "Neurogenic Dysphagia," he investigates sensory mechanisms, diagnostic strategies, and treatment approaches for swallowing disorders. His recent work combines neuromodulation, pharmacological interventions, and functional imaging to better understand the swallowing network and its disruption in critically ill patients
